It is a sunny late summer afternoon in Berkshire but Jess Fishlock’s mind has fast-forwarded to November on another continent. After all, Reading’s marquee loan signing knows her future could hinge on the result of that month’s US presidential election.
In the past, Wales’s most-capped player has said her future lies in the US and, more specifically, Seattle, the city she fell in love with eight years ago after swapping Bristol Academy for the local club now known as OL Reign.

Fishlock had not bargained for 2020, this most disorientating of years and one when the Pacific coast has lost a little of its allure.

Graeme Souness believes FIFA should allow Ukraine to qualify automatically for this year s World Cup in Qatar, to send a message to the Russian government.
Souness beloved Scotland hosted Ukraine on Wednesday in a World Cup qualifying play-off that was delayed from March following Russia s invasion of the country.
The attack was universally condemned but the fighting has continued since, with millions of Ukrainians displaced and thousands left defending their homeland.
While the winner of Wednesday s encounter in Glasgow will face Wales on Sunday to determine the final European team to reach Qatar, Souness passionately believes that regardless of the outcome, FIFA should ensure Ukraine feature in the tournament.

Two-time World Cup winners Argentina arrive in Brazil hoping to end a 28-year wait for the coveted title and winning the trophy on their bitter rivals soil would be a perfect scenario. Los Albicelestes are the only star-studded team in Group F, but the likes of Bosnia, Nigeria and Iran will give their best to make life difficult for Alejandro Sabella s team.
The Eastern European side may be taking part at their first ever World Cup, but they seem to have a good chance of reaching the knockout stages. The 2013 Africa Cup of Nation winners have got plenty of potential but it remains to be seen if they can prove their worth when it really matters, whilst Asia s number one side Iran will have to cause quite a few shocks if they want to beat the odds and progress from the group stag…

Argentina v France, Messi v Mbappe: Qatar 2022 final will leave indelible legacy one way or the othe
Most World Cups have one truly iconic player who is intrinsically linked to that tournament for eternity, a standout star head and shoulders above the rest.
Pele had 1958 and 1970, Diego Maradona had 1986. There was Paolo Rossi in 1982, while Ronaldo was arguably that man in both 1998 and 2002.
But there aren t many instances of a World Cup final having two players vying for a victory that would have seismic consequences on their respective legacies. Or at least not to this degree.
Qatar 2022 s final is France against Argentina, but it s more than that. It s also Kylian Mbappe v Lionel Messi.
Both are teetering on the precipice of achievements that ll long outlive them, and it all rides on one match.

Da Bears finished with the worst record in football in 2022 at 3-14. That makes their path to be the most improved team in football much easier than other teams heading into the 2023 season.
DraftKings currently has NFL odds for the most improved team available and the criteria for that (which is explained more in the bet slip) is the team with the biggest increase in regular season wins from the previous season.
With a current win total of 7.5 for this season, it’s easy to see why the Chicago Bears odds have them as the betting favorite at +210. However, a lot has to go right for the Bears to flirt with a five-win — or even a four-win — improvement from a season ago.
